Antique French Napoleon III Aneroid Wall Barometer

Description

This elegant French Napoleon III barometer was found in France. It has a polished wood base with gilded bronze frame and hanging piece with a bow top. The back is cloth covered as shown. The front has a raised convex dial with a gold toned indicator. There is no makers mark on the piece. Though not very large, it has quite a presence and is very decorative. It does work. There is a round eye on the back of the hanging piece for securing it to the wall. The condition is very good, there is some play to the center indicator, where the hole that was drilled in the glas is a bit bigger than the post going through. This is not visible, but you can notice it when handling the indicator. It does not hinder its function as all.
Measurements are: 9 3/4" tall by 5 1/4" wide and 1" deep.
