VERY BOLD, PARTICULARLY DETAILED & COLORFUL original WWI patriotic poster. Dated 1919. Printed by T.S. MILLER, CO, NEW YORK". SCANS SHOW ALL. SHOWS A GREAT CLOSEUP OF 3 "Brother" servicemen, a soldier, a marine, and a sailor, Army in arm, and looking very happy.
This is a great patriotic poster intended to get you thinking about doing more for your country and contributing to the war effort, and specifically to welcoming home our boys that had done their job and won the war.
Great detail and nice color.
Very patriotic and captures THE COOPERATIVE, FOCUSED "work together" spirit of the war effort.  Posters were primarily printed as a reminder, to reinforce the basic themes of support AND IN THIS CASE THE HELP THAT PEOPLE COULD PROVIDE. Often they were pasted on walls, or  put in windows
. Sometimes the ones we see now were "proofs" prepared by the printer before the run was started. Or, kept as souvenirs by whoever put them up. The ones that were actually used obviously took a lot of abuse and wear and usually did not survive.
MAKES A GREAT DISPLAY ITEM FOR ANY COLLECTOR OR OFFICE OR FAMILY ROOM.....especially for a USMC enthusiast or veteran. Has 2 gromets at the top to hang it from.
Measures 11" x 16" AND WOULD LOOK GREAT FRAMED. THIS IS ALSO AN UNUSUAL POSTER IN THAT IT IS PRINTED ON A "WOVEN" PAPER FOR LONGER DURATION AND BETTER STRENGTH. Meant to convey the message and feeling for a long time.
A really super looking and rare WWII patriotic poster overall. WOULD  BE A PARTICULARLY GREAT FOCUS/BACKGROUND/CENTER PIECE IN A MUSEUM, LIBRARY, OR IN ANY WWI USMC COLLECTION.
