We are offering one of the rarely seen Vogue 1950-60's vinyl  jointed 8" baby dolls; she is the African American version of Ginnette only offered in the early 1960's and for two years only.  She is a beautiful black Ginnette with lots of extras, all are Vogue and no generic items added.   She is a vinyl jointed doll with sleep eyes,  painted hair, and nurser mouth.   Nice facial factory blush.  No redo's here.
Vogue offered outfits that you could buy to dress your Ginnette in and this one and she is wearing one that is tagged; very cute and the desirable "Paint Spatter" outfit as referred to by many collectors and comes with the original box we took it out of to dress her.  It has the has the dress, hat and the not often included, original waist ribbon.  All never used until now and fresh out of its box.  She also comes with an extra boxed outfit, couple  pairs of marked Ginnette shoes in various colors, MIP diaper pack, hard-to-find  labeled Ginnette bottle (nipple has darkened and no longer as  pliable but still intact) and a few more extras; all Vogue.  All items are in excellent to near mint or MIP/MIB depending on item and all factory Vogue (see pictures).  We think most, who love these early vinyl small baby dolls that drink and wet,  will be very happy to own her.    We would love  to find this sweet doll a new home so she can continue to be appreciated and enjoyed by a new owner.  So please look closely at all her photos with all the extra Vogue goodies and see if she isn't one for you.  Also would make a great gift for a loved one too.

Additional Details
Ginnette's  head, legs and arms are jointed and she is approximately 7 1/2-8", marked Vogue Doll on her lower back and is vinyl.  She has a hole in her bottom that the water comes out when you feed her.  Her eyes have the hard plastic lashes and all are intact with no breaks.  There are
no
chew marks or issues to fingers or toes. Any marks in the vinyl (like lines etc. which there is) on the back etc. are from when they removed these dolls parts to assemble from the mold; usually on the back as we tried to photo to show and arms sometimes.  This is very typical and not unusual and just want to mention in case one is not familiar with what they are and
not damage from play
.   We don't believe she was every really played with much if at all.  These dolls were poured into molds and then assembled, more often than not having the mold marks/lines in the vinyl.  These marks and lines in her back are not from play; factory and in the making.   She is the  African American version of Ginnette with molded lash sleep eyes that have no breaks to lids.  She has factory painted hair with a few tiny  skips in paint, sometimes factory or just from rubbing in a box from storage but nothing to us that is detracting.  You can tell by her factory lip paint on her nursing mouth that she does not appear to have ever been given water.   A very sweet doll in excellent plus - near mint overall condition.
This sweet  Ginnette is the vinyl baby doll that was made by Vogue that you could give a bath, feed water and change the diaper but in an adorable small size than most drink and wet baby dolls.  They advertised it as a negro Ginnette and was made only for a short period of time; adored by many then and now.  Sleep eye nursing mouth drink wet doll, Ginnette was a very popular doll in the 1950's, 1960's and still is today.    She has the slightly curved baby legs and easy to pose as arms and legs are jointed.
A special doll for the collector who loves these little dolls and were offered back when baby dolls both small and larger were the rage; especially ones that would drink & wet.   Ginnette was so easy to handle, had a very large wardrobe that Vogue offered, but the black Ginnette's came into production; early 1960's and made in limited quantity for only 2 years.  If you were a lucky child who wanted one and was able to get one she certainly would have been a treasure.  If you never did and just love her still or you find her appealing to fill out your collection of adorable small baby dolls, then she may be just the one for you.  Please look at all the photos closely and contact us if you have any questions or concerns as we are happy to try to help.
