World Cup ’94 Raleigh-Durham Vintage T-shirt Excellent Condition XL/TG

This vintage
World Cup ’94 Raleigh-Durham T-shirt dates to the early 1990s and was part of an effort to promote the Raleigh-Durham area as the location of a soccer match as part of the 1994 World Cup hosted by the USA. The shirt was seldom if ever worn, has been in storage for about 25 years, and is in excellent preowned condition. The upper left chest features “World Cup ’94 Raleigh-Durham” in medium blue and there is a large graphic on the backside with World Cup ‘94 and Raleigh-Durham printed in black letters and an embossed black and white soccer ball overlaid on a light blue triangle with darker blue and red trim symbolizing the Research Triangle of North Carolina.  The colors and graphics are strong and there are no noticeable rips, tears, pulls, smudges, marks, stains, or other signs of usage and wear except for some very faint and barely noticeable faded areas on the backside graphic that appear to be more a function of the printing process than aging. And, there are some wrinkles and creases resulting from years of storage. In all other respects the shirt borders on pristine condition.
This shirt is
white in color, a Hanes Beefy-T, 100% cotton, and was made in the U S A. It is labeled XL/TG 46-48, but it is best to rely on the measurements. They are about 22 inches from underarm to underarm (that is, 44 inches in circumference), 26 inches from the top of the front collar to the bottom of the garment, and 27.5 inches from the top of the collar to the bottom of the back side. It measures about 6.5 inches from the collar seam to the shoulder seam, and 7.5 inches from the shoulder seam to the end of the short sleeve.
